What is the different of Synthetic macro fibers and Synthetic micro fibers

A. Synthetic Micro fibers are mainly used in concrete for reducing plastic shrinkage crackings.

Plastic shrinkage crackings are those that form while the concrete is still plastic, or able to be moved. 

These crackings may caused by loss of moisture at the surface of the concrete. 

Synthetic Micro fibers also help to increase bleed water uniformity, which helps with finishing.

Synthetic Microfibers has 2 types:

          1. Monofilament microfiber                                        2. Fibrillated microfiber

B. Synthetic Macro fibers are used to minimize or eliminate both plastic and drying shrinkage cracking. 

It can be used to replace welded wire reinforcement WWR and provide better performance. 

Synthetic Macro fibers also provide all the benefits of microfibers, 

and additions to increased durability, flexural toughness, and resistance to impact and abrasion.
